Design Your Ideal Village!
28 September @ 17:16
The Malta Sociological Association will be raising awareness about Social Impact Assessments (SIAs) and how they contribute to building equitable, diverse, inclusive, and just communities through an interactive activity at the Science in the City festival.
Participants will be invited to design an ideal village in Malta using a flexible setup of building models. The models will represent various community structures such as houses, places of worship, health centres, schools, residential areas, shops, and more. This activity will be facilitated by sociologists from the MSA who will guide participants through the planning process, encouraging them to consider the social impact of their decisions. This activity aims to raise awareness about Social Impact Assessments (SIA) and how they contribute to building equitable, diverse, inclusive, and just communities.
The Malta Sociological Association will be setting up this initiative at the Science in the City Festival in Valletta. Aligning with the festival’s theme of J.E.D.I (Justice, Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity), this activity will empower citizens to envision and create an ideal village that embodies these principles.
