Together We Strive: Creating A Sustainable Environment Free From Barriers That Divide

Educational awareness campaign as part of a transformative communities-based youth project funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.

This educational online initiative forms part of ‘Together We Strive: Creating a Sustainable Environment Free From Barriers That Divide’, a transformative communities-based youth project funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.

The project aims to:

1. set an example for driving innovative solutions from within the grassroots of society in line with the SDGs & Malta’s contribution to COP26 to improve VO innovation capacity;

2. encourage engagement between migrant and local young people and their families to develop creative ways to foster environmental stewardship;

3. create a sense of belonging, reduce conflict, hate speech and social exclusion; and

4. foster community cohesion.

During the ESDW we will showcase on social media the relevance of the SDGs to Malta’s current cultural, social and economic wellbeing and raise awareness about the needs of communities voiced by the project’s participating stakeholders.
