Awareness-raising campaign during Fresher’s Week

The Commission on Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence aims to hold several awareness-raising initiatives with post-secondary students on campus at Junior College, MCAST and the University of Malta, mainly to raise awareness on gender-based violence, domestic violence and the importance of sexual consent and healthy relationships.

The Commission on Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence aims to deliver an awareness-raising campaign targeting post-secondary students during the Freshers’ Week. In line with SDG5 Gender Equality, the Commission designed a campaign consisting of awareness-raising stand at the campuses of Junior College, MCAST and University of Malta to disseminate informative material on gender-based violence and domestic violence whilst promoting the existing professional support services. The students will also have the opportunity to participate in a competition organised by the Commission to encourage students to reflect on healthy relationships and safe dating.
