On the 18th of September 2024 the Sustainable Development Directorate within Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Regeneration of the Grand Harbour will be organising the SDG Valletta Challenge for youths. This Challenge will take the form of a treasure hunt around Valletta leading the participants to 17 different locations representing the 17 SDGs. Clues will be presented to the teams that will lead them to the different locations. The event will form part of Malta’s Sustainable Development Action Days, which start on the 18th of September and conclude on the 8th of October, and are part of the European Sustainable Development Week, during which a number of initiatives, activities and projects by Government entities, voluntary organisations, the private sector and individuals all over Malta and Gozo will be organised. The aim of such initiatives is to promote and increase the awareness of sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the general public. Event location The event will take place on Wednesday 18th September 2024 between 9:00 and 13:00. The meeting place will be on the steps next to the Parliament building near the main entrance of Valletta. Who can participate? The event is open to anyone aged between 18 and 30. Spaces are limited and teams will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Prizes All participants will receive a prize, with all the members of the winning team receiving a gift basket of eco-friendly tech products.
