The Sustainable Development Directorate within the Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Regeneration of the Grand Harbour will be organising the third edition of Lejla Fil- Park. This will be held on Friday, 27th September 2024 at San Klement Park in Zabbar between 6:00pm and 10:30pm for which a number of entities and sports organisations will be invited to participate, expanding on those invited in previous years. Stands include those by Government entities, NGOs and Sports Organisations including: Armed Forces, Malta Police Force, Malta Civil Protection, Health Prevention and Disease Control Directorate, Superintendent of Cultural Heritage, ERA, EWA, Wasteserv, Ambjent Malta, ACTS, FSWS Youth Services, MFA, Malta Taekwondo Association, Malta Badminton Association, Malta Triathlon Federation, AMACS, Malta Paralympics, Mater Dei Emergency Department, Saving Our Blue, Zabbar Scout Group, and the Malta Medical Students Association. Food will also be provided at the event. Some organisations will also be setting up activities in addition to stands, these including football, badminton, taekwondo and rugby performances, cycling and health checks, among others. The event will form part of Malta’s Sustainable Development Action Days, which start on the 18th of September and conclude on the 8th of October, and are part of the European Sustainable Development Week, during which a number of initiatives, activities and projects by Government entities, voluntary organisations, the private sector and individuals all over Malta and Gozo will be organised. The aim of such initiatives is to promote and increase the awareness of sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the general public. |
