Research and Innovation Award
Recognise groundbreaking sustainability projects or technologies that significantly contribute to sustainable development. Applicants under this category can consider:
- Efforts of original and creative research or projects, contributing towards sustainable development for Maltese communities.
- Efforts of long-term influence and sustainability. This is to make sure the research or tool created has a long lifespan which will continue seeing Malta developing sustainably overtime.
- Efforts to make the data or tool developed be easily accessible or affordable to the general public and all stakeholders.
- Efforts of ease and implementation in local communities.
- Efforts to target and involve marginalised communities.
- Efforts to inspire other fellow researchers to create innovative and sustainable research projects.
- Any other efforts that lead to innovative initiatives or technologies that made a meaningful contribution to advancing sustainable development.
This award will apply specifically to stakeholders that are:
- Academics
Awards
Those placing first will be awarded a €2000 monetary prize and a trophy. Those placing second and third will be awarded a trophy.
