Environment Award

Highlight efforts focused on protecting and preserving the natural environment. Applicants under this category can consider:

• Efforts to conserve and rehabilitate endemic habitats including marine, coastal and terrestrial habitats.
• Efforts to efficiently use the resources readily available and avoid overconsumption and waste.
• Efforts to introduce natural and clean energy through innovative technologies.
• Efforts to involve locals to continue engaging in green and sustainable practices.
• Efforts to ensure a healthy well-being for all through sustainable agriculture and clean water. 
• Efforts to introduce programmes to educate citizens on the importance of green initiatives.
• Any other efforts or impactful actions aimed at conserving ecosystems and promoting environmental sustainability.

This award will apply specifically to stakeholders that are:

• Voluntary Organisations registered with the Office of the Commissioner for Voluntary Organisations
• Individuals

Awards

Those placing first will be awarded a €2000 monetary prize and a trophy. Those placing second and third will be awarded a trophy.
