Youth Leadership Award

Celebrate young individuals who have shown exceptional leadership in promoting sustainability. Applicants under this category can consider:

• Efforts to lead youth by example, showcasing personal and strong commitment beyond what is expected.
• Efforts to teach youth to think critically, keeping the UN SDGs and Malta’s Sustainable Development Strategic Goals in mind.
• Efforts to inspire youths to be active participants in their communities and to spread the message about sustainability.
• Efforts to involve youths from all backgrounds irrespective of race, gender, sexuality, income, disabilities etc.
• Efforts to prepare youth for their future careers by emphasising quality education and upskilling. 
• Efforts to encourage youth to engage in environmentally sustainable practices to protect life below water and on land.
• Any other efforts of outstanding youth leaders who are driving meaningful change and a strong commitment to advancing sustainability.

This award will apply specifically to stakeholders that are:

• Individuals between the ages of 13 and 30

Awards

Those placing first will be awarded a €2000 monetary prize and a trophy. Those placing second and third will be awarded a trophy.
