Through the Sustainable Baby Box initiative, every newborn receives a starter‑kit designed to support guardians in adopting more eco‑friendly practices from the earliest stages of a child’s life. The sustainable baby box includes safe, environmentally friendly products that promote the use of reusable alternatives over single‑use and disposable items. Its purpose is to embed the concept of sustainability from a very young age while increasing awareness of greener childcare options. Furthermore, to encourage early literacy, a set of age‑appropriate books is also included in the sustainable baby box, fostering a culture of reading from infancy.
Since the start of the project, mid-2026, more than 19,000 sustainable baby boxes were distributed to parents and guardians all over Malta and Gozo.
By promoting the use of sustainable products, the initiative helps reduce waste, supports green businesses, and adds value to environmental goods and services.

Wet Bag:
A waterproof zip-up wet bag made from eco-friendly material to be used for temporary storage of the used reusable nappies.
Cloth Wipe:
Reusable cloth wipe made from eco-friendly material.
Dummy & Teether:
Dummy and teether made from BPA free material.
Socks & mittens:
Socks and mittens made from eco-friendly material.
Books:
Books for the early years in Maltese and English.
