An urban sports event will be held to promote active lifestyles, well‑being and inclusive use of public spaces, featuring skateboarding, BMX, parkour and breaking as free community activities.
Take It to the Streets is a free community urban sports event that brings skateboarding, BMX, parkour and breaking into an accessible public setting. Participants of different ages and abilities are encouraged to explore and try these activities, with coaches providing guidance and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. The initiative promotes physical activity, mental and social well‑being, and supports positive engagement with public spaces. By transforming shared areas into places for sport, creativity and social interaction, the event highlights how urban sports can contribute to healthier lifestyles, stronger communities and more inclusive, vibrant public spaces. The initiative is non‑profit and forms part of Take It to the Streets, a collaborative project between MSSA and Move Malta, co‑funded by the European Union.
