The HSBC Malta Foundation will support a range of community-focused initiatives between September and October 2026.
On 23 September, the HSBC Malta Foundation will host Emma’s Beads with a Cause, a charitable initiative led by a staff member’s daughter, who handcrafts and sells beaded items in support of local charities, primarily Puttinu Cares. The initiative has already raised over €2,200 through the support of colleagues and the wider community.
On 25 September, the Foundation will support the St Jeanne Antide Foundation through a pop-up thrift shop in Valletta, including the donation of recycled items for resale. On the same day, a cultural event will be organised for HSBC staff and their families at the Red Tower in Mellieħa, featuring a guided tour followed by refreshments.
On 25 and 26 September, the Foundation will participate in the Science in the City festival in connection with a nature-based project being financially supported by the Foundation and implemented in collaboration with the University of Malta.
Community volunteering activities will continue on 2 October with the distribution of clothing at the Soup Kitchen in Valletta. On 6 and 7 October, HSBC staff members will support activities at Caritas San Blas through an olive-picking initiative, while additional employees will utilise their voluntary leave entitlement to assist at the Soup Kitchen.
On 8 October, the Foundation will host a fundraising sale at HSBC Head Office in Qormi in support of S.T.A.N.D. (Striving Towards Ability Not Disability). On the same day, a financial literacy session on scams and fraud prevention will be delivered in collaboration with GEMMA at the Naxxar Local Council.
