Sustainable Initiatives at Eden

Six initiatives promoting sustainability, community engagement, and responsible lifestyles through practical environmental and community actions.

The initiative consists of six sustainability-focused activities:

1. Smart Cooking Workshops

Professional chefs will lead a series of workshops for employees, providing practical guidance on reducing food waste, preparing meals sustainably, and making cost-effective food choices. Each session will accommodate up to 25 participants and will be held throughout September.

2. ROTA Sustainable Mobility Workshop

In collaboration with ROTA, Malta’s bicycle advocacy NGO, a workshop and seminar will be organised on 23 September to encourage sustainable mobility and promote cycling as an environmentally friendly mode of transport.

3. Food Collection Campaign

Between 18 and 30 September, employees will participate in a food collection drive. All donated items will be delivered to the St Jeanne Antide Foundation to support individuals and families in need.

4. Book Swap and Donation Initiative

Taking place on 28 and 29 September, employees will be encouraged to exchange books, promoting reuse and the principles of a circular economy. Remaining books will subsequently be donated to charitable organisations.

5. Volunteering at Love Kitchen

Employees will volunteer at the Love Kitchen within the Millennium Chapel, assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to vulnerable members of the community. Three volunteers per day will participate on 29 September and on 1, 6 and 8 October between 11:30 and 13:30.

6. Energy Saving Awareness Campaign

A compilation of practical energy-saving tips will be developed and disseminated through internal communication channels, cinema screens, and on-site displays. In addition, a nationwide public awareness campaign promoting energy conservation will be broadcast through Eden’s radio stations, 89.7 Bay and Bay Easy.
