Circular Design for a Sustainable Future: Global Inspiration, Local Action
19 September @ 09:00 – 8 October @ 17:00
A digital initiative with Design Ecologies, exploring circular design and Malta’s local resources to inspire sustainable, inclusive solutions for the future.

NWAMI International Malta presents a digital educational initiative for Malta’s Sustainable Development Action Days, featuring a 15-minute pre-recorded interview with Design Ecologies, an international platform for creative sustainability. The discussion explores how circular design can inspire solutions in Malta by addressing textile waste, marine plastics, and agricultural by-products such as olives, grapes, carob, and prickly pear. It also highlights the importance of heritage crafts and community engagement in shaping sustainable futures. Alongside the interview, a short info clip will make key insights accessible to schools, youth, and community groups.
The initiative emphasizes inclusion and intercultural dialogue, aligning with NWAMI’s mission to promote equality and partnerships. By combining global expertise with Malta’s local realities, this project aims to educate, inspire, and empower communities while contributing to the European Sustainable Development Week.
