Community Event by Project Green
3 October @ 18:30 – 22:00
As part of the MSD Action Days initiative, Project Green is organising a community event at San Klement Park in Żabbar. From 6.30pm onwards, the park will come alive with interactive workshops and informative stands hosted by various departments within the Agency, each showcasing their ongoing work and initiatives.
Given the park’s expansive layout and diverse zones, the event is designed to activate every corner with engaging activities, catering both children and adults.
This event is a celebration of sustainability, wellbeing, and community connection, an open invitation for the public to explore, participate, and discover the impact of Project Green.

For the upcoming event, Project Green will showcase works from every department within the Agency to highlight their contributions to sustainability. From the visionary work of the architects to the cutting-edge innovations developed by the research and development team, each group will present their current projects and initiatives in an engaging, hands-on format designed to captivate both children and adults. The goal is to create an immersive experience where visitors can interact directly with the ideas and technologies shaping a greener future, whilst having the opportunity to give ideas and opinions on various projects.
To fully utilise the expansive layout of the park, Project Green is creating a dedicated children’s zone where they can participate in play-based learning and craft activities based on environmental themes. This space is designed to be both educational and fun, encouraging creativity while fostering awareness of sustainable practices from an early age. In addition to the exhibits and activities, the event will feature a food and beverage area where local vendors will offer a variety of refreshments. Importantly, all profits from these sales will go directly to the suppliers, ensuring support for small businesses and community partners rather than Project Green itself.
To enhance the atmosphere and provide a space for relaxation, a chill zone will be set up where guests can unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Meanwhile, in another section of the park, Project Green is collaborating with local gyms to host an OCR competition. This event will encourage participants to push their physical limits through an engaging, fitness-driven challenge designed to test both endurance and agility. Beyond the thrill of competition, it aims to highlight the benefits of staying active in open-air environments, fostering not only physical health but also mental well-being.
By combining movement with nature, the experience promotes a holistic approach to wellness, emphasising how outdoor exercise can uplift the mind as much as the body. Altogether, the event promises to be a vibrant celebration of sustainability, innovation, and community engagement, offering something meaningful for every age and interest.
