MCAST Bus Routes Map – Promoting Sustainable Travel

A visually engaging map showing direct public transport routes to MCAST from different localities. The initiative encourages students to use public transport, helping reduce traffic and carbon emissions. The map will be shared digitally and included in fresher packs and digital signage.

Inclusive Aging: Supporting LGBTIQ + Older Persons

As part of the National Strategy on Active Ageing 2023-2030, St Vincent de Paul (SVP) provides training to health care professionals including Charge Nurses, Medical Doctors, Head of Allied Healthcare Professionals and Nurses, to enable them to be culturally sensitive and knowledgeable of the history of discrimination and to the unique needs of older LGBTIQ individuals.

Mental First Aid Course in the Workplace and in Older Adults

In Collaboration with Richmond Foundation and St Vincent de Paul (SVP) Training Centre, two type of training programmes are being provided to SVP professionals: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Course in the Workplace and MHFA in Older Adults.

Social media posts, which will be uploaded on the NCPE's social media platforms, namely Facebook and Instagram, will be linked to SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 10: Reducing Inequalities to raise awareness on the mentioned SDGs.

Eco-Bingo: Staff & Student Sustainability Challenge

Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, Main Campus, Paola

Eco-Bingo is a fun sustainability challenge open to all MCAST students and staff, running from 18th September to 8th October. Participants receive a digital bingo card with eco-friendly actions like using a reusable bottle, turning off lights, recycling, or cycling to campus. Completing a full row enters them into a prize draw for eco-themed or MCAST-branded items. The initiative promotes everyday sustainable habits in a fun and engaging way while supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A colourful bingo card and promotional materials will be shared, with a possible prize ceremony and short impact report at the end.

The Superintendence of Cultural Heritage will be launching a digital campaign highlighting how sustainability interplays with cultural heritage, and how these SDGs are being promoted and implemented.

Foodbank Malta Donation Drive

BNF Bank will contribute to Foodbank Malta through food donations generously provided by its staff. This will help to provide essential food supplies to individuals and families facing hardship.

Awareness Raising on cetaceans

The awareness raising campaign will focus code of conduct for beach-goers, boat owners on how to approach cetaceans such as dolphins and turtles. These artworks will be uploaded on ERA's Facebook and Instagram which will be posted during the above timeline, having 2 posts per week.

The HSBC Malta Foundation will be distributing recycled clothes at the Soup Kitchen in Valletta. This initiative will target SDGs 10, 12 and 13.

The HSBC Malta Foundation will be organising financial literacy training for teachers in Church schools as well as in Chiswick and San Anton Schools. This initiative will target SDGs 1, 4 and 8.
