A three‑day university‑based campaign will combine SDG awareness content, student vox‑pop interviews, a JEF Talk on government action and a policy paper examining public opinion.
The initiative will take place at the University of Malta between 5 and 8 October 2026 to raise awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and stimulate discussion on Malta’s sustainability efforts. A short social‑media campaign featuring infographics on what the SDGs are, why they matter and how they relate to everyday life in Malta will provide context for the subsequent activities.
Vox‑pop interviews on campus will explore students’ awareness of the SDGs, the sustainable actions they take and their views on Malta’s performance. With consent, the interviews will be edited into a video and published on our social‑media channels. A panel‑style JEF Talk focusing on renewable energy sources will also be held, featuring contributions from invited experts.
Finally, insights gathered throughout the campaign will be synthesised by JEF’s Policy Officer into a social‑media publication outlining key perceptions of the SDGs in Malta, helping inform future advocacy and educational efforts.
