Over the past couple of years, Hilton Malta has made great efforts in continuing to reduce our impact on the environment. Namely, in the reduction of single use plastics. An information video-campaign will now be launched to explain the ways in which we have managed to reduce waste.
The Council is proposing to hold a promotional activity where it shall be promoting amongst its residents the benefits of being eco-friendly and having a green lifestyle. This is important since it reduces the risk of illness and respiratory diseases. During the activity a number of youths from the locality will be present thus contributing in reaching the young generation for a better future.
I am involved in circular economy in woodcraft. I reshape and redesign unwanted timber turning it into timeless arts and gifts. I participate in markets trying to promote and sell my art works. I also make children's activities to promote circularity by encouraging children to paint wooden ornaments which I make from tulip/pine left overs. These painted ornaments are then used as plant decorations.
This programme aims to facilitate and encourage discussions between a number of Youth Ambassadors on the topic of improving Urban Mobility in Malta and how best to possibly incentivise young people to adopt these strategies.
